Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service; those who stood for freedom, defended peace, and carried hope into places where it was hard to find.
As we reflect, we honour their courage, their sacrifice, and the legacy they left behind. Their names are remembered, and their impact endures in the peace we cherish today.
On behalf of the Battle River Lending Place Society, we carry this spirit of service forward; caring for our neighbours and strengthening our community through compassion and action.
Our community has come together to ensure that everyone has access to medical and mobility equipment. By giving these items new life and providing them to those in need at no cost, we extend that same spirit of service. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and generous donors, each item is inspected, sanitized, and restored so individuals can maintain their independence and dignity. Together, we are building a more mobile and caring community.
May we remember the sacrifices that built our freedom; and continue to honour them through service, compassion, and care.

In Fields of Quiet Honour

Beneath the skies of crimson dawn,
The echoes of their courage call;
They gave their all so we might stand,
In freedom’s light, unbowed by fall.
We gather now with hearts made still,
To carry forth the love they knew;
Restoring strength where hope runs thin,
And lending care their dreams renew.
Through hands that serve and hearts that give,
Their legacy forever flows;
For every act of kindness sown,
Is where remembrance truly grows.
