Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Battle River Lending Place Annual General Meeting on April 21. It was a meaningful time to reflect on how far we’ve come and to look ahead with purpose.
Since opening our doors in January 2024, we’ve had the privilege of serving over 900 clients and contributing more than 1,600 volunteer hours. What began as a vision in 2021 has grown into a vital community resource, helping individuals access mobility and daily living equipment when they need it most.
This past year marked a major milestone as we received charitable status, opening new doors for growth and sustainability. With strong community support, generous donations, and grant funding, we’re also excited to share that our “Under One Roof” campaign has successfully reached its $300,000 goal. This will allow us to move forward with a 1,914 square foot expansion to better serve our region.
We are grateful for the continued leadership of our board, staff, and volunteers, and we extend special thanks to those who have served and contributed over the years. We also welcome new and returning board members as we step into the next season together.
As always, our mission remains the same: to reduce barriers and ensure access to essential equipment through our lending program, supporting dignity, independence, and care within our community.
