The Under One Roof grand opening welcomed more than 100 people to celebrate this milestone for Battle River Lending Place. The event marked the completion of our building expansion and was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, bringing together community members, supporters, and those who helped make this project possible.
The celebration was featured in the Camrose Booster, helping highlight the project and the remarkable community support behind it.
The event included greetings from MLA Jackie Lovely on behalf of the Alberta Legislature, along with recognition from City of Camrose Mayor PJ Stasko, Camrose County Reeve Cindy Trautman, and Navkirt Kaur, RBC branch manager. Their participation reflected the importance of this project and its continued service to our community.
Special recognition was given to our government supporters, Royal Bank, and the many local contractors and suppliers who contributed their skills, materials, time, and generosity. General contractor Ron Grue also demonstrated his generosity by donating back a $30,000 cheque to Battle River Lending Place, helping further support our work.
Battle River Lending Place board president Erhard Pinno delivered a touching speech that captured the heart of the occasion, celebrating the builders, donors, volunteers, and neighbours whose combined efforts brought Under One Roof to life. His words expressed the gratitude felt throughout the organization:
“Today we give thanks for each gift, great and small,
for builders and donors and volunteers all.
Together we’ve proven what neighbours can do,
when kindness and caring are carried on through.”

Under One Roof provides a permanent home for collecting, cleaning, repairing, and lending mobility and medical equipment free of charge to those who need it.
