Moving Forward With Under One Roof Project

Moving Forward With Under One Roof Project

Exciting progress is being made on the “Under One Roof” project, the future home of the Battle River Lending Place.

Preparations officially began for the new build, including moving containers and relocating the old garage to its new home at the Railroad Museum across the street. Footings were also dug as construction preparation continued.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Ron Grue, lead contractor on the project, for his leadership, hard work, and coordination throughout the project preparations. We are also grateful to Ron for providing the photos documenting this exciting milestone.

Special thanks to D & D Sales for generously providing the use of a forklift, skid steer, truck, trailer, and post auger equipment to help make this work possible.

Thank you as well to Larry Young for donating and loading the power pole for the new electrical service, and to Elton Alan for donating both his time and the use of his track hoe to help get things done.

We also want to recognize our incredible staff and volunteers at the Lending Place, including Brian Becherman, Len Schlaut, and Julia, for helping move and organize everything during this transition.

This project continues to move forward because of the amazing support of our community. Thank you everyone!
